Healthier Menus for 2020 at Marigot Bay Resort & Marina
Eating Healthy is Very Tempting!
There's no denying that the healthy eating movement will continue to grow in the new decade and at Marigot Bay Resort and Marina, we're making changes that will offer diverse food choices to all our guests.
Culinary Director Daniel Echasseriau explains that there are already healthy menu options at all four of Marigot Bay Resort and Marina's restaurants, but the new global awareness of veganism and popularity of specialist eating plans offers the resort's culinary team an opportunity to develop a wider offer.
"Already we've experienced an increasing number of health conscious guests who enjoy a luxury vacation while keeping to their regular nutrition rules or special diet. Many more guests have food allergies or intolerances, so it's important that we continue to cater to their individual needs by offering a wider range of dishes that avoid gluten, lactose or other problematic ingredients. We heard the call so in 2020, guests can expect many more exciting and innovative additions to Marigot Bay Resort and Marina's culinary landscape."
Meanwhile, the menu at the poolside Brut Bar has been refreshed to include meat, gluten and nut-free selections as well as a guarantee of farm to fork sourcing, organic produce and locally supplied ingredients.
Lunch at Brut Bar ranges from freshly prepared sushi and sashimi to zesty ceviche, satisfying salads and wraps packed with local ingredients delivered daily. Homemade hummus and guacamole are paired with plantain and roti chips for a lighter snack, while hungrier guests can enjoy pressed house bread sandwiches and wraps filled with yummy - and guilt-free - ingredients.
Dinner at The Rum Cave has also been reinvented to include casual options like filling salads and classic burgers as part of an à la carte three course menu that begs to be revisited time and again during your stay at Marigot Bay Resort and Marina.
Mains range from fresh fish and rock shrimp to jerk pork and curried chicken, with creative tropical side dishes and a light touch throughout. Selections strike a balance between international favourites and Creole-inspired local flavours, with delectable - but optional - tropical desserts pulling no calorie punches.
The good news is there's more to come and with a new wind of wellness blowing through Marigot Bay Resort and Marina, the results are bound to be delicious.
